| Feel
the Spirit
As soon as you arrive at the event, you will feel
something different – something good!
After you sign in and collect your giveaways, visit
the Prevention Education Expo, watch the World Championship Battle
of the Belts, and see the Sean’s Run organizers present grants
and scholarships.
At the starting line the atmosphere is electric with
anticipation. Then the gun goes off. In the charming streets of
the Village of Chatham explodes a colorful sea of runners and walkers
– and you’ll notice they are smiling! The course winds
past Victorian-era homes, down Main Street and past the historic
Clock Tower, past live bands and cheering spectators. Then you’ll
hear your name announced as you cross the finish line.
After the race, music fills the air and refreshments
abound. You’ll link up with friends and family, give high-fives
and compare times. You’ll depart knowing you’ve supported
something very special; you can feel it
We started and will continue all this because
of the unnecessary loss of a special teenager, Sean. We continue
because too many other teenagers, each of them special, are taking
risks with drinking, driving impaired, and failing to use their
seatbelts. Thanks to the encouragement of Sponsors, Contributors,
Volunteers and Participants, we will continue to raise awareness
about the need to address these serious problems – Thank you
all.
